“My first
storytelling performances were for Jewish adults. Just as a writer is
told to write about what she knows, I felt as a storyteller I should tell the
tales from my own tradition and to people who shared the unique history and
culture of the Jewish people. Since then, my craft has grown and tales from
the world’s great folk traditions fill my repertoire, but when I’m invited
to tell to a Jewish audience, I feel like I’ve come home.”
